Northwestern reached the WCWS a season ago for the first time since 2007. Fortunately, for NU fans, the Wildcats return eight of the nine starters who played under the bright lights in Oklahoma City.
From the get-go, the 2022 squad faced challenges with ease. A veteran-heavy roster showed grit and determination with pre-conference wins over Clemson, UCLA, Oregon, Washington, Missouri and Stanford.
