Sami Williams is why the NCAA had to extend eligibility in the wake of a pandemic.
Mostly because she deserved a chance to finish her college softball career with a full season and a chance to play in the NCAA tournament. But also selfishly because the rest of us needed another chance to fully appreciate someone who represents the best the sport has to offer.
