The D1Softball Top 25 Rankings didn’t have any movement at the top with UCLA still holding strong after going 5-0 over the past week, but there is movement in the top five with Oklahoma and Texas, two bitter rivals, climbing to No’s 2 and 3, respectively, after good weeks.

Virginia Tech was the lone new entrant into the rankings. The Hokies had a 3-2 week that included wins over South Carolina, Minnesota and Northwestern. South Carolina and Minnesota are ranked, while Northwestern dropped out of the Top 25 after going 2-2 last week.

The Southeastern Conference leads the charge with nine teams in our rankings, while the Pac 12 comes in with six representatives. Other conferences include the Big 12 (4), ACC (3), Big Ten (2) and Sun Belt (1).

The D1Softball Top 25 rankings are compiled by polling 10 sportswriters, broadcasters, analysts and coaches from across the nation, and are headlined by lead writers Rhiannon Potkey and Tara Henry.
