Player of the Week: Devyn Netz, Arizona
The two-way star excelled in the circle and at the plate leading the Wildcats to a 3-2 record on the road in Fayetteville. Netz hit four home runs, posted a 1.143 slugging percentage and collected 10 RBI in five games against Arkansas and Drake. The junior right-hander started three games in the circle and struck out nine batters in 16.2 innings pitched.
Pitcher of the Week: Stevie Hansen, Oregon
We are staying in the Pac-12 to honor sophomore Stevie Hansen, who went 4-0 at the Mary Nutter Classic with three Top 25 wins. Hansen tossed a one-hit shutout against Florida and picked up wins over Northwestern and Missouri.
Freshman of the Week: Karlyn Pickens, Tennessee
The rookie led Tennessee to a 1-0 victory over a then-undefeated Clemson squad. Pickens tossed a complete-game shutout striking out eight batters and giving up just four hits – all singles – to an explosive Tiger offense.
