FGCL Wrap: Putting A Bow On An Incredible Summer

Analysis

The inaugural season of the Florida Gulf Coast League came to a close last week at USSSA Space Coast Stadium in Vierra Beach, Florida. I sat down with Gray Roberston for a final wrap up of the league via zoom. What was evident in just the short five weeks of the summer season, is the lifelong friendships made during a time when human beings need it the most.

We discuss the exciting 10-9 win for the River Mocs in the FGCL finals and how the ejection of the league’s MVP changed the course of the game. After the championship game, the FGCL All-Stars hit the road to play the pros – USSSA Pride. Gray shares his thoughts on the series and what it was like to be in the dugout during Shannon Saile’s outing in game one and the booth for Kenna Wilkey’s brilliant game three performance.
