Florida Gulf Coast League: Week Four Insider


LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. — After four weeks of play, the RiverMocs continue to dominate the field at the Florida Gulf Coast League. The Mocs have emerged as the clear No. 1 seed heading into the final week of the regular season. This week, the Bradenton Slice and Manatee Squeeze will battle it out in preparation for the playoffs. The Slice will rely heavily on their pitching staff that includes Shannon Saile (Oklahoma) and newcomer Ashley Blessin (Marshall), to capture the No. 2 seed from the Manatee Squeeze. The Manatee Squeeze look to their potent offense to wake up from a slumber last week to remain in second place.
