#1: Duke defeats No. 3 Texas, the first win vs. a ranked team in program history.

Down goes Texas. Duke (12-1) defeated a ranked opponent for the first time in program history by handing Texas its first loss of the season 1-0. The Blue Devils collected just three hits in seven innings against Texas ace Miranda Elish, scoring a single run in the fourth to beat the Longhorns. Peyton St. George hurled a complete-game shutout against an explosive Texas offense. In an earlier game, Texas barely defeated Lipscomb 12-11 on a walk-off RBI fielder’s choice by Lauren Burke in the bottom of the seventh inning.

#16: UCF vs Minnesota game ends in a tie. UCF gets tacos. 🤷‍♀️

Due to Minnesota having to travel, the game between the Gophers and UCF finished in a 5-5 tie in the ninth inning at the UCLA/Long Beach Tournament. The bottom half of the inning wasn’t played because Minnesota had to catch a flight to Hawaii to play Hawaii during spring break. UCF got to stick around SoCal and indulge in a post-game meal of tacos provided by Justene Molina’s family.
