The San Jose State Spartans made a statement early Thursday morning to commence the Mountain West Softball Championship with a walk-off victory over Fresno State. The first of two single-elimination games ended when Makenzie Hutchinson dribbled a ground ball up the middle to score Aubrie Thomas on a fielder’s choice.
