SEC Notebook: Arkansas’ Malkin Hits Parking Lot Shot; Kentucky Gets Big Series Win

The sport utility vehicles and sedans were lucky to make it out unscathed.

In the fourth inning of Arkansas’ 2-0 victory over Mississippi State on Friday, Linnie Malkin launched a home run that landed in the parking lot behind Bogle Park.

The ball was estimated to have traveled 312 feet.

“I thought, ‘Wow. I will probably never hit a ball that far again,’” Malkin said. “I guess I wish it would have hit a windshield. Not to be mean, but it would have been kind of funny.”
