Our power rankings are based upon identifying the best and most valuable college softball players for the 2022 season and will be released bi-monthly throughout the season.

Florida nets the title of the best middle infield duo. Second baseman Hannah Adams and shortstop Skylar Wallace come in first at their respective positions.

Adams, the always steady defender, has a .462 batting average and 12 stolen bases. UCLA freshman Savannah Pola joins the rankings after emerging as one of the best bats in the Bruins lineup. She is top 10 in the nation with 11 doubles. The full second basemen rankings are below:

Wallace has done everything for the Gators in her first season on the field. The Alabama transfer has three doubles, four triples and four home runs. She’s also a perfect 21-for-21 in stole base attempts. Not many are hitting the ball better than Nebraska’s Billie Andrews. Not only does she lead the nation in home runs (14), she has a 21-game hitting streak. The full shortstop rankings are below:
