Coaches and teammates can often see the incremental gains made by a player. But sometimes an outside opinion can make it even more apparent.

The umpires that worked Tennessee games last season returned for intrasquad scrimmages this fall. 

They like what they saw from sophomore Callie Turner in the circle. The left-hander carried a much heavier load than expected as a freshman in 2020 after ace Ashley Rogers was sidelined by an injury.
