ACL Continues Growth for Summer 2024
After another successful summer, the American Collegiate League is continuing to provide opportunities for student-athletes to enhance their skills. Softball players can now spend their summers in the Golden Bay Collegiate League and Carolina Patriot Collegiate League.
These two leagues will join the Florida Gulf Coast League, which has been the foundation of the ACL, in 2024. The other league in the ACL system is coming off its first season but will look different in 2024. The Scenic City Collegiate League – formerly known as the Music City Collegiate League – will be moving from Clarksville, Tenn. to Chattanooga.
The Golden Bay Collegiate League, which will call Irvine, Calif. home, hopes to find similar success of the talent base in California and the West Coast as the FGCL has in Florida. This would allow players to stay closer to home during the summer without traveling across the country and being able to expand the talent base. Carolina Patriot Collegiate League will call Fayetteville, NC home.
The ACL also announced the hire of former Alabama star Ashley Prange as a recruiting coordinator. Prange will work directly with collegiate coaches and programs to help place players in the various leagues across the country that best suit them.
Registration for the 2024 season for all the leagues under the ACL umbrella has already opened.
