AJ Daugherty Departing as UAB Head Coach

UAB head coach AJ Daugherty is stepping down from his post, sources confirmed to D1Softball.

Daugherty is leaving college coaching for an athletics administration role at another school in Alabama, per sources.

The Conference USA Coach of the Year in 2023, Daugherty spent two years as the Blazers’ head coach. He posted a 52-54 overall record and a 30-21 conference showing during his tenure, including a 2nd-place finish in CUSA in 2023.
