Roy Kortmann Departs as Long Island Head Coach
Coaches CornerLong Island head coach Roy Kortmann has departed his post, a school spokesperson confirmed to D1Softball.
Kortmann spent thirty years leading the LIU program, recording more than 800 wins during his tenure and leading the Sharks to 11 conference championships and NCAA tournament appearances. LIU most recently appeared in the NCAA tournament in 2023, participating in the Tuscaloosa Regional.
