ACL expands to Texas with Lone Star State Collegiate League

Top Stories

Everything is bigger in Texas they say, the American Collegiate League is getting bigger by going to Texas. With the success of the Florida Gulf Coast League in recent years, which has allowed softball players to grow their game during the summer, the ACL has continued to add leagues in softball hotspots.

After another season of the FGCL and the debut of the newly named Scenic City Collegiate League in Tennessee in 2023, the ACL is adding another league member in Central Texas. The Lone Star State Collegiate is the next addition for the summer of 2024, joining the Golden Bay Collegiate League (Irvine, CA) and the Carolina Patriot Collegiate League (Fayetteville, NC). These leagues not only present more opportunities for athletes around the country, but with so many players coming from Texas, California and North Carolina, this also allows players to stay closer to home and continue their development on the field.

“The American Collegiate League is poised for a successful opportunity with the addition of the Lone Star State Collegiate League, which will give collegiate softball athletes all over the country, more locations like Texas, more opportunities to choose their direction and experience while making significant impacts both logistically and economically on the game itself,” said ACL President, Ryan Moore via the press release. “Central Texas is ripe with all ages of softball, an area with a cultural vibe within the surrounding areas for amazing summer experience for the athlete.”

Registration for the 2024 season for all the leagues under the ACL umbrella has already opened.
