Alyssa Tiumalu Steps Down as Iona Head Coach
Iona head coach Alyssa Tiumalu is departing her post.
Tiumalu spent three years as the Gaels’ head coach, notching a 62-86-1 overall record with a 34-30 showing against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opponents.
During her tenure leading the Gaels, Tiumalu’s squad never finished below .500 in conference play and reached the MAAC tournament in all three years. The Gaels earned the No. 5 seed in the conference tournament in 2024, their highest seeding under Tiumalu.
