Chris Stelma Named Oakland Head Coach

Oakland has hired Chris Stelma as the program’s new head coach.

Stelma spent the last eight seasons as head coach at Saint Peter’s. He built the program up while at SPU and was named the MAAC Coach of the Year in 2022. Notable during his tenure, he led the Peacocks to a 20-win improvement year-to-year from 2021 to ’22 and then registered the program’s first 30-win season in two decades in 2023.
