Jenny Allard wasn’t ready to give up coaching in terms of her mind and spirit. But her body was telling her otherwise.

After her assistant coach at Harvard was injured last season, it fell to the 55-year-old Allard to throw batting practice and crouch down in the bullpen to catch.
