Locating the strike zone was a major issue for Megan Faraimo when she was first learning how to pitch. Really, just finding anything remotely close to the batter’s box was a problem.
“I was literally throwing the ball over the backstop fence for at least a year. It was awful,” Faraimo said. “Even at pitching lessons, I would launch it over the fence. It definitely frustrated me, but I think the challenge of it made me want to work even harder.”
Through diligence, patience and experience, Faraimo has managed to harness her control and emerge as one of the top pitchers in college softball.
