Tara Henry caught up with USA Softball U15 assistant coach Jimmy Kolaitis on the team’s day off in Tokyo, Japan. The duo chat about international softball, USA Softball and Kolaitis shares what’s happening at Arizona State this fall.

U15 Team USA Undefeated in Pool Play
Team USA finished pool play at the U15 World Cup in Tokyo outscoring opponents 51-0. The Eagles head into the Super Round with a 4-0 record and a .505 team batting average behind key performances from Brooklyn Paratore, (.857), Jordyn Johnsen (.714), Sam Alekman (.700) and Stevie South (.700).

The pitching staff is anchored by Macie Bryant, who leads the team in strikeouts (17). Bryant boasts an off speed comparable to Division I-level arms and is someone to keep an eye on in the 2027 class.

Madi Doty (Grandview, Texas), Lily Cullen (Oskaloosa, Kansas) and Taegan Lermann (Washington, Texas) round out the pitching staff.
