Pitcher of the Week: Montana Fouts, Alabama

Fouts was perfect, again. The Alabama right-hander tossed a 6-inning perfect game against Longwood and threw a total of 19 shutout innings in three starts last week. The fifth-year senior recorded double-digit strikeouts in all three games. Fouts allowed just four hits and four walks and struck out a total of 36 batters.

Freshman of the Week: NiJaree Canady, Stanford

The rookie continues to impress in the circle. Canady went 2-0 last week, including an 18-strikeout no-hitter against Villanova. It was her second no-hitter of the season. Canady struck out 30 batters and issued a single walk in 13.0 innings pitched and still boasts a 0.00 ERA on the season.
