The junior second baseman went 8-for-11 with a double, two home runs, eight RBI and four runs scored in the Red River Rivalry sweep of Texas. Jennings led the Sooners to an 8-1 victory in the opener with a three-run home run in front of a record-breaking crowd of 8,930 at USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. She capped the series with a 4-for-4 performance with another three-run shot and four more RBI.
Pitcher of the Week: Montana Fouts, Alabama
The graduate senior ace carried the Tide to a series victory over Missouri, throwing two complete-game shutouts while giving up seven hits, striking out 26 and walking only three batters in 16.0 innings. Fouts opened the series with a two-hit shutout, striking out 12 and walking one. She returned to the circle the following day, allowing five hits in 9.0 innings while striking out 14 and walking two. Fouts threw a total of 245 pitches across her back-to-back starts to lower her ERA to 1.64.
Freshman of the Week: Izzy Kemp, Dayton
The rookie hurler tossed a five inning no-hitter against George Washington and picked up another victory and save on the weekend. Kemp threw 12.1 innings, giving up just two earned runs on five hits and two walks while striking out 19 batters in the process.
