Top Stories

D1Softball, the premier destination for college softball fans, is excited to announce the 2024 D1Softball Digital Team, a group that includes some of the most recognized names in college softball. This powerhouse team will enhance our comprehensive coverage of college softball, bringing fans unparalleled insights, analysis, and live event coverage.

Anchoring the team is Jenna Becerra, who will be the Host of the D1Softball Podcast, and a National Writer. Jenna’s extensive experience as a player and broadcaster uniquely positions her to provide insightful analysis. In addition to her podcast duties, Jenna joins our writing team, specializing in coverage of the west coast and further enriching our nationwide perspective. Jenna will continue to shine as the primary broadcaster for Stanford softball, along with her responsibilities covering other games for the Pac-12 Network. As a Stanford softball alum (2009-2012), Jenna’s deep roots in the sport make her a key part of the D1Softball Digital Team.

Amanda Lorenz, who joins the team as Co-Host of the D1Softball Podcast and Live Event Coverage Specialist, will be a regular voice on our podcast. Amanda will also provide coverage of live events, notably the Shriners Children’s Clearwater Invitational. The Florida softball alum (2016-2019) was a four-time All-American and the 2016 NFCA Freshman of the Year. Amanda’s experience in Athletes Unlimited and as a member of Team USA gives her unique insight into all aspects of the game.

Joining the team for live event coverage is Sierra Romero, who will lead our coverage of the prestigious Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic. Sierra, a Michigan Softball alum (2013-2016), boasts an illustrious career with honors including NFCA Player of the Year and the Honda Sport Award for Softball in 2016, in addition to being a four-time All American.

The D1Softball Digital Team complements our already stellar writing staff, which includes the gold standard of softball coverage – Graham Hays, Justin McLeod, and Rhiannon Potkey. Together, this talented ensemble will provide fans with a comprehensive and unrivaled source of news, analysis, and features about players and teams across the country.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jenna, Amanda, and Sierra to the D1Softball family,” said Shelly Carlin, Managing Editor at D1Softball. “Their expertise and passion for the game will undoubtedly elevate our coverage, ensuring that fans receive the best possible insight into the world of college softball.”
