Emily Waldon has never known life away from the baseball field. Combining her love for the game with her passion for writing, Emily began her career as a minor league baseball writer and scout/player evaluator in 2015. Beginning with covering the Detroit Tigers West Michigan Whitecaps and eventually expanding her coverage from Triple-A Toledo all the way down to the Gulf Coast League. While continuing her coverage for Detroit, Emily expanded to national prospect coverage in 2018 covering prospects from the International, Eastern, Midwest, and Florida State Leagues, in addition to regular trips to the Arizona Fall League. In 2020, Emily won a SABR award for her feature on the lifestyle and pay discrepancy of minor league baseball players.
