Today’s episode of In The Circle has a little bit of everything for you.
First, Eric Lopez catches up with Texas Softball Radio PxP Andrew Haynes. The two caught up before the series finale between Texas and UCF Sunday morning. Andrew shared his thoughts on the Longhorns’ impressive start to the season and their young core. He also looks at how UCF can adjust to the Big 12 and the landscape of the league right now.
We then transition to Mississippi State’s weekend series in Fayetteville which included their Sunday explosion to clinch the series. It included another instance of a runner being called out for leaving the base early. Victor and Eric banter about what should be done about the rule plus what players should do to adjust.
Afterwards, the guys recap some of the most impactful results of the weekend. It includes Kansas sweeping Houston, Charlotte stumbling on the road, Texas A&M rolling, and the Sun Belt positioning themselves for a big 2024. Also, is the Big Ten now a two-team race between Northwestern and Penn State?
