Karavin Dew Resigns as Lafayette Head Coach
Breaking NewsLafayette head coach Karavin Dew has resigned her post, the school announced on Sunday. Dew is leaving the Leopards in order to accept a role outside of college coaching.
In two seasons leading the Leopards’ program, Dew posted a 13-73-1 overall record with a 5-31 showing in Patriot League play.
“I have appreciated my time and the opportunity as the head coach of Lafayette softball and want to thank each of these student-athletes for their commitment to the mission,” Dew said in a school statement. “I want to thank my assistant coaches, Bridget and Kelliner, for their tireless work and dedication. I wish the team well as the season gets underway.”
Prior to taking the helm of the Leopards’ program, Dew’s resume included stints as an assistant coach at Tennessee State, Austin Peay, Brown, Mercer, and Brevard College.
Assistant coach Kelliner Croushore, who joined the staff this summer, has been named interim head coach for the 2025 season. The Leopards are scheduled to begin spring practice on Monday, January 27th, and are set to open the 2025 season on February 14th against Bryant.
