Patti Gerckens Departs as UC San Diego Head Coach
Breaking NewsPatti Gerckens will not return as UC San Diego head coach.
Gerckens’ departure was announced by the school on Monday evening.
During her 32-year tenure at the helm of the Tritons, Gerckens led the program to 13 NCAA postseason appearances. She guided UCSD to a pair of national championship appearances at the Division II level, including a national title in 2011.
She is the program’s career wins leader with 842 victories.
