The last time that the McNeese Cowgirls were on the softball field, they found themselves three outs from a Super Regional berth. Despite losing the lead, and ultimately the regional crown, to eventual WCWS-participant Washington, the Cowgirls’ run boosted the profile of Southland softball on the national level.
