The Softball Implications of Grand Canyon’s Move to the WCC

The Lopes of Grand Canyon are destined for the West Coast Conference, set to join that league in July 2025.

Old news to some, perhaps a new revelation to others, the move was announced in mid-May. Along with Seattle, the Lopes are one of two schools leaving the WAC next summer in order to join the WCC.

While the realignment won’t have any effect on the 2025 softball season, its effects on a larger scale are plentiful.
