WCWS Game 5: Marlie Giles Sends Duke Home, Powers Alabama into the Weekend 

For the second day in a row, WCWS newcomer Duke ran into a team that knows its way around Oklahoma City better than just about any. And for the second day in a row, institutional memory won out. Behind two RBIs from Marlie Giles and the combined pitching effort of freshman Jocleyn Briski and grad transfer Kayla Beaver, Alabama kept its season alive with a 2-1 win that eliminated Duke.
