Player of the Week: Frankie Hammoude, Oregon State
The junior first baseman went 10-for-16 with five home runs and 10 RBIs for the Beavers. Hammoude belted a solo shot off Alabama’s Montana Fouts and homered in four of the five games Oregon State played this past week. She currently leads the NCAA in home runs (5).
Pitcher of the Week: Jordyn Bahl, Oklahoma
The freshman phenom went 2-0 on the weekend including an emphatic victory over the No. 4 ranked UCLA Bruins. Bahl struck out 24 batters in 12.2 innings pitched and did not give up an earned run. She kept opposing offenses to a .119 batting average.
Freshman of the Week: Olivia Johnson, Washington
The rookie catcher proved to be a tough out at the Puerto Vallarta Challenge blasting a home run in her first ever collegiate at-bat. Johnson ended the weekend batting .700 on with a triple, three home runs and eight RBIs and seven walks.
