Monique White Resigns as Hampton Head Coach

Hampton head coach Monique White has resigned her position.

White spent three seasons as the Pirates’ leader, assembling a 51-102 overall record during her tenure. The Pirates were 17-35 during the 2024 season, with a 7-20 showing in conference play.

Prior to her tenure at Hampton, White had been an assistant coach at Georgetown and Embry-Riddle in Florida. She played collegiately at Daytona State college and Florida International, setting the single-season home run record as a senior at FIU.

White also spent the summer of 2023 as an assistant coach with the Texas Smoke, a first-year franchise in the Women’s Professional Fastpitch league that won the WPF league title.
