D1Softball Analytics No. 5 Pitcher: Presbyterian’s Jenna Greene

Jenna Greene kept an open mind about how much she would pitch during her freshman season at Presbyterian College. She didn’t want to assume she’d get a lot of innings.

But after opening with a one-hit shutout, Greene didn’t slow down.

The righthander was 13-2 with a 1.24 ERA, 128 strikeouts and 48 walks in 107 innings pitched before the coronavirus pandemic canceled the season.

She is the No. 5-ranked pitcher on D1Softball’s Top 100 Analytics list.

Greene led the Big South Conference in wins, complete games (15), shutouts (6), ERA and innings pitched.

Even with the abbreviated season, her 128 strikeouts and six shutouts were single-season program records in the Division I era (since 2008), and her 13 wins were third-most for a single season in program history.

Green owns five of the top 8 strikeout games in the Division I era, including striking out 18 in a 12.0 inning win over Butler.
