Analysis

Florida Gulf Coast League

BRADENTON, Fla. — The Myakka City RiverMocs remain tied for first place in the Florida Gulf Coast League with a 5-4 victory over the Bradenton Slice.

Mack Leonard (3-1) was brilliant in the circle for the Mocs, picking up a complete-game win, giving up just 2 earned runs and striking out seven. She threw 20 first pitch strikes to 32 total batters with a 114 pitch count through seven innings.

“Mack was feeling it today. She was firing on all cylinders.” said the Mocs Head Coach Michaela Transue, “Her stuff was working really well. I think we got a little bit nervous in that first inning with a couple of people on base.”
