Head Coaches in New Places: Brown’s Mary Holt-Kelsch

New Brown coach Mary Holt-Kelsch is getting the chance to lead a Division I program for the first time in her hometown. Her travel ball coach, who died of cancer, inspired her career choice.

Mary Holt-Kelsch Hired as Brown Head Coach

Brown has hired Mary Holt-Kelsch as head coach. Holt-Kelsch spent the last three seasons as head coach at Rhode Island College, posting a 62-45 overall record during her tenure with a 24-24 mark in conference play. Kate Wheeler Steps Down as Brown Head Coach

Brown head coach Kate Wheeler is leaving her post.Wheeler spent six seasons as the Bears’ leader after taking over the program prior to the 2019 season.
