D1Softball Top 25: Oklahoma State Climbs, San Diego State Enters
Top StoriesThe top three spots remain the same in the D1Softball rankings, as Oklahoma, UCLA and Florida State went undefeated for the week. Virginia Tech climbs to No. 4 after Keely Rochard and Emma Lemley held No. 23 UCF to a single hit in two games and struck out a combined 26 batters. Alabama drops a spot to No. 5, just ahead of gritty Northwestern at No. 6. Oklahoma State climbs to No. 7 after an undefeated weekend in Stillwater and back-to-back sweeps in the Big 12. Florida, Duke, and Arkansas round out the top 10, respectively.
No. 10 Kentucky jumps No. 11 Tennessee after the former swept LSU. They’re followed by No. 12 Arizona State, which benefitted from the combination of a week off and Oregon’s 0-3 weekend. The Ducks tumble to No. 17.
Missouri re-enters the poll at No. 24, with No. 25 San Diego State making its first appearance this season.
The SEC leads all conferences with eight teams, followed by the Pac-12 with five teams. The ACC (4), Big 12 (3) and Big Ten (3) also placed multiple teams in the rankings, along with one from the AAC and the Mountain West.
