D1Softball Top 25: Indiana Climbs, Cal Enters the Chat
Top StoriesIt’s been a few years since Cal has appeared in a national Top 25 poll. The Golden Bears last made an appearance in 2018, predating the start of D1Softball by two years.
But Cal is back, entering the D1Softball poll for the first time at No. 25 after winning its second straight Pac-12 series by beating No. 22 Utah in Berkeley over the weekend.
Oklahoma and Oklahoma State retained their spots atop the rankings while UCLA moved up a spot to No. 3 after sweeping No. 7 Stanford in a Pac-12 series.
One week after entering the poll, Indiana climbed to No. 19 as the Hoosiers extended their wining streak to 21 straight games by sweeping Ohio State.
Florida dropped out of the poll following an SEC series loss to South Carolina for the first time in 20 years.
The Pac-12 and SEC lead all conferences with seven ranked teams apiece, followed by the Big 12 and ACC with four each, the Big Ten with two and the AAC with one.
