D1Softball Top 25: LSU In the Top Three, Virginia Tech Enters the Poll
Top StoriesAfter another undefeated weekend showing at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, Oklahoma continues their reign top the D1Softball Top 25 poll.
Texas remains at No. 2 in the poll despite losing a 4-3 decision to Stanford on Saturday night; the Longhorns remained a unanimous selection in the second spot after dropping their first game of the year.
New to the top three and at their highest ranking of the year is No. 3 LSU; the Tigers remained undefeated after hosting a five-game home tournament and now stand at 13-0 on the season.
Baylor made the biggest move of any team this week, jumping into the top ten at No. 10 after a 5-0 showing in Cathedral City. The Bears have won seven straight games, dating back to week two against the Ragin Cajuns.
New to the poll is Virginia Tech, who split their two games against Georgia in Athens and turned in a fine showing in both outings. The Hokies are now 12-3-1 on the year.
