D1Softball Top 25: Longhorns at the Top
Top 25For the second time this season, Texas ascends to the No. 1 position in the D1Softball top 25 poll.
The Longhorns move into the top spot after winning two games in their three-game series against Oklahoma in Austin this weekend. Texas now sits at 31-6 overall on the year.
Oklahoma, who had spent all but one week of the season in the top spot, slides to No. 2 after losing the series to Texas in Austin. The Sooners are now 35-3 on the year.
Stanford, Oklahoma State, and Duke round out the top five after undefeated 4-0 weeks by all three teams.
Texas A&M, Florida, and Arkansas were the week’s biggest climbers. The Aggies moved up four spots to No. 13 after a 3-1 week that included a series win over Kentucky in College Station. Florida moved up to No. 7 after a series win over LSU and Arkansas moved up to No. 11 after their series win over Missouri.
Louisiana and Oregon rejoin the rankings following week nine; The Ragin Cajuns sit at No. 24 after another 3-0 conference showing on the weekend, while Oregon moves in at No. 25 after taking the series over Washington.
